Mbooni Hiking Club was born from a shared vision: to connect people with nature while protecting the unique beauty of Kivale Forest and the surrounding Makueni landscapes. What began as a small group of local explorers has grown into a vibrant movement promoting eco-tourism, community engagement, and environmental stewardship across the county.
Since our inception, we have worked hand-in-hand with outdoor enthusiasts, conservation partners, and local communities to create safe, educational, and inspiring nature experiences. Every hike, cycling event, and conservation drive we organize strengthens our commitment to preserving the environment while nurturing a spirit of adventure.
Who We Are
We are a community of nature lovers, environmental advocates, and adventure seekers united by a passion for exploration and sustainability. Our members come from diverse backgrounds — students, professionals, guides, and local residents — all working together to celebrate and protect Makueni’s natural heritage.
As a club, we believe that nature is not just a destination but a classroom, a refuge, and a source of connection. Our leadership team combines experience in outdoor recreation, conservation education, and event coordination to ensure every activity we organize is safe, inclusive, and impactful.
